Not long ago, Sharon met with President Bush. Bush recognized Sharon's efforts of withdrawing troops from Gaza. Further Bush gave his blessing to maintain many Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories.
On Monday, Israel Defense Forces amassed troops in the region to "begin a major operation in the southern Gaza Strip..."
