Ashcroft good for Supreme Court? |

The New York Times' front page story yesterday about secretly taped conversations between Doug Wead and the President showed the real Bush in action. Wead is identified as one of the President's old friends, but perhaps not after the release of the tapes. In the tapes of course, Bush admits to using marijuana (1).

Bush goes on to say that Ashcroft is a "very good Supreme Court pick"!
Pretty strange that the guy he calls "Weedie" in the tapes would play these tapes in which he admits to smoking weed.
Bush was not kind to Al Gore either in the tapes, being critical of Gore's sampling of marijuana in his youth.
