Although Obama’s campaign is in full damage control, his comments on Thursday to a crowd in Missouri provide clear insight into his mindset and tact.  He is looking to excite and energize the people he is speaking to by any means necessary, even if it entails playing the race card.

Obama’s international press tour

In his latest effort to dispel warnings from McCain and others about a lack of international presence and experience, presidential hopeful Barack Obama met with Israeli and Palestinian leaders today. The true question in this international tour is, why now? If Obama had truly felt compelled to make a contribution to the issues facing the Middle East, why did it take a presidential candidacy?

McCain officially enters 2008 presidential race

Senator McCain will officially announce that he is running for his party’s nomination in 2008 on the David Letterman show tonight.  A break from tradition, McCain will reach a vast and often mixed audience during his late night announcement.

A warning for Democrats: don’t raise taxes! If there is any intention for the party to continue beyond the next Presidential election, they absolutely cannot raise taxes.  Not only will corporate party sponsors frown on this action, but the impending economic slowdown and continued job losses for lower to lower-middle class citizens will be directly associated with Democratic alterations to economic policy.
